How sort results by hits within the file's content?

Postby Yabba » Wed Sep 13, 2006 1:07 am

I use the Yahoo Desktop Search version of X1.

When I get my search results they are sorted by the column I last clicked.

Is there a way to set things so that the results are sorted by the number of hits on the file's actual content?

You mean you would like to find the files with the greatest number of occurrences of the word "word"?

I don't know if it is possible but it sounds like a good idea to me. It would emulate the "relevance" rating that you get with some search engines.

I doubt if any of the existing columns would work. They might have to create their own measure.

No, I have nothing to do with X1, just a user since 2004.
