A few tips that are not in the FAQ have come out of the experience of two users who had problems getting X1 to index their PST files in Outlook.

I fixed this by putting my outlook mail exchange into "cached" mode. It is grabbing all of the emails now. Yahoo Search engine did not require this.

I finally got mine working. I got the hint from another thread - it was likely a damaged PST file that was not damaged enough to cause an Outlook problem.

Run scanpst.exe (located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11 (or 12) on the PST file, then re-index.

If you do this, keep running scanpst until it reports no errors. Only then can you be sure that X1, and other software, will work properly with Outlook.

These bits of advice also apply to other users of X1.
