Everything has been working fine. With no warning, I suddenly have no mail index. X1 reports that it is indexing regularly--just not finding anything in mail!

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Joel,

I apologize for this problem.

If this is happening with your Outlook messages - try this:

1. Close X1.
2. Close Outlook.
3. Check the Task Manager and ensure that the Outlook.exe and X1.exe processes are both closed.
4. Open Outlook.
5. Open X1.

After you open X1, try indexing again.

I have a relatively similiar problem where the preview for the mail search has totally disappeared. Indexing is happening and everything else is working fine. Its just the mails that are not appearing in the preview pane.

I have tried clearing out and reindexing again. No go. Next I tried uninstalling and clearing out the Findwell folder and still am unable to preview any mails.

I dont' want to double click on the mail to see the contents. x1 was working like a charm until recently...

Joel:

Try running the scanpst.exe utility installed with Outlook to make sure there are no errors in the .pst files you are indexing. I've had this same problem in the past and when I repair the .pst file and re-index, all is well again.

Hi Trenat,

The problem you are experiencing may be related to third party software. Some users have reported that EarthLink software can cause the preview pane to disappear (for email).

If you installed software before you noticed this problem, try un-installing the software and see if it makes any difference.

If you can identify the software that causes the preview pane to break, please let us know.

Thank you.
