Why is X1 saying it can't access my .PST file?

Hello

I am getting "Some PST files added to X1 could not be accessed".
"These PST files could not be located and may have been moved"

This is very bizarre because the PST file in question IS at the location that it mentions. X1 can still find emails in that PST file, which it can open up. And when I get X1 to "Resume All", it seems to be able to index all my PST files.

In fact, after I reboot, the message goes away. But eventually maybe after 2 or 3 days, a similar message may appear about a different .PST file.

My setup:
- X1 Search v8.5.2.6001si (64bit)
- running on Windows 10 (x64)
- Outlook 365 using msExchange (hosted by Microsoft) with about 8 PST archive files.

What is going on?
Do I have a virus?
Is it a bug on X1 Search?

With thanks

J

Me too. Equally puzzled.

The only thing I have done recently was to move the index from me C drive which was claiming to be full. (It wasn't.)

Worryingly, under Outlook email options there is an option to "Ignore alert for unavailable PST files".
It's tempting to tick this however I don't want to tick this as if X1 is genuinely failing to index my data I need to know.

Or is this a clue that there is a long-standing buy that X1 can't fix ??!!

I'm having this issue also. The error does not go away and X1 quits so I can't change the settings NOT to index .PST files.

I'm backing up my X1 folder and considering reinstalling, but I've already did this back in March 2018. I'm really frustrated with this software.

Me too. Buehler? Buehler? Is x1 product support officially dead?
