Hi PRFreimann,
Please note that while we do "NOT" support the indexing of Eudora email (beginning with v5.6.4 - build 3470), we can provide you with steps to get this enabled. Also, as this relates to Eudora, we won't fix bugs, work support tickets or add any new features -- use at your own risk!
Here are the steps for exposing the Eudora scanner within X1:
1. Close X1 using File > Exit (and close Eudora if it's open)
2. Locate the file: X1IndexService.ini
This file is found in your X1 index folder, which is located here by default:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\X1 Desktop Search\
(**If you do not see the Local Settings folder, then from Windows Explorer, click on Tools > Folder Options > View and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected**)
3. Double-click the X1IndexService.ini file to open the file for editing
4. Directly under the [General] section add the following line:
Eudora=1
5. Close and save the X1IndexService.ini file
6. Launch X1
7. Go to Tools > Options > Email > Eudora and verify that the settings are correct. You can also click on "Select Folders To Scan" to verify that the correct folders are selected for indexing.
Again, please note that support for Eudora is no longer provided beginning with v5.6.4 (build 3470).
Thanks.
