Find window is missing!!!! (Ctrl+F)

Postby pk_asw » Mon Jan 05, 2009 5:41 am

updated from build 3630 to the latest 6.5 RC

When I display a TXT file, I usually used Ctrl+F to find some strings in that TXT file, now Find window was removed! Why??? Is it a bug???

thanks!!

Can you give us a few more clues as to what you mean by the "Find window"?

I can see no significant differences in the various windows and search slots in X1 6.5.

No, I have nothing to do with X1, just a user since 2004.

Ok,
here is a screenshot from build 3630; when I press Ctrl+F, Find window is shown and I can search in the opened text file.

then I updated X1 to build 3693 (6.5 RC) and when I press Ctrl+F, nothing is shown:

Please tell me if you can simulate the problem.
Thanks.

I see no "Find" slot. But I never used it in older versions. I use the "Search" slot and the "+" key to move between bits.
