searching for my Windows/ IE FAVORITES

I am having trouble searching for my Windows/ IE FAVORITES.

The best I can come up with is to index the favorites directory and then under the FILES tab restrict it to Document type of internet or url. The problem with this is that there is no preview of the page (live or cached would be nice), just the text contents of the link.

Am I missing something?

A favorites tab would be nice. In the meantime I will have to go back to Copernic for my Favorites (which also has Web History), which is a bit of a pain having 2 desktop searches on the go.

XEC v5.5.5 doesn't actually index for Favorites of IE (or FireFox for that matter).

You can have a partial workaround by searching for IE's folder that contain the Favorites (in *.URL), by entering the below in the [File_Tab]'s [Path]:

C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Favorites

But you need to manually launch each Favorites *.URL, and you need internet connection in order to see the actual web page...

Anyone else has a better workaround?
