Unfortunately, the structure of the Tools > Options box is pretty much set as it is because there are additional configuration utilities that rely on the logic flow of the Options box to operate.

I think your issue is that the other scanners just have the "Select Folders to Scan..." button and the Files scanner has the additional "Specify File Types" button.

However, the "Specify File Types" button needs to be subordinate to "More Indexing Options". This is because if a new user updated "Specify File Types" without understanding the "What to scan for this folder and its subfolders" settings, the user might get confused about why X1 was applying the specified file types to a given folder.

How about calling it 'Select files to index'? That actually covers both directory and file type settings, and is more indicative of what the user will find. -pgk

Good input. Agreed. We will retitle this button to 'Select files to Scan...'

Look for this on a future release.
