SCT filetype - hard to find in list

Postby pgk » Tue Sep 17, 2013 10:52 am

I was trying to check the content indexing status for the filetype SCT. This is basically impossible to find because X1 lists this as "Windows Script Component" in the results list, and as "Lotus Screen Snapshot" in the 'specify file types' dialog. See image below (for as long as postimage.org hosts it..).

Please make the "Document Type" column and "File Type" dialog agree in future versions.

pgk,

Already done. In future versions (e.g., Search 8), you can choose to sort the list by either:

- Type
- Extension

Of course, if you choose to "Sort by Extension", the SCT file extension is nicely nestled between the SAM and SDC file extensions.

Great. Still, it would be nice if the names shown in the results list match the names shown in that dialog. Or maybe that's already the case as well?
