Problems With X1 BlackBird Beta II

Postby tjh » Wed Jul 08, 2009 10:48 am

I'm seeing some odd results with BBII. I have taken screenshots of myself searching for the word "saturday". I have taken shots of the results at "sa, sat, satur and saturday"

Edit: You could find a zip of the screenshots before, but I removed them because I'm a plonker. See below.

I can't figure out why X1 is returning the results it is returning to "sat" and "satur" - nothing in the result seems to match them and indeed, nothing is highlighted in the results panel.

Do I need to rebuild my index? I have just upgraded from BBI.

Hi Tim,

I looked at your ZIP files and, indeed, it appears that your search terms are in the folder path of the header information within the preview pane (...\illustrator filters.localized\saturate.aip). This would explain why your searches for both sat and satur include those results.

If you expand the "Path" column in the results pane, you should then see the correct highlighting for each of your searches.

This should explain your results....no need to reindex.

Well, aren't I a plonker!

Sorry for the time waste.
