I am interested in the answer to this as well.

My experiences seem to indicate not so compatible.

I will be upgrading in the near future.

Before you give up on 6.7.4, check to see if there are any features missing in 8.X.

RSS feeds and some other useful searches no longer work.

What problems do you see?

I have it indexing away here. But I have just set it running.

I had 6.7.4 on my spare PC, but it was just sitting there.

Interesting -- I'm the original poster of this topic, and I get a "hit" after all this time of another user posting a reply.

Well, to answer my own question, I have a license key for 6.7.4 and another one for x8, each running on a win10 computer. They both work just great, imo. There may be a few things that I prefer about 6.7.4, first being Thunderbird support. I also like the "export results" better since it gives the actual size in kb of files rather than rounded up into so-many MB or so many GB...

Hi Forrester. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit with X1 Professional Client 6.7.4 but I sort of intentionally "froze" my Windows 10 updates after 1809 OS build 17763.437 -- I'd list my reasons for doing this but there are just too many reasons...

X1 6.7.4 works great on my Windows 10 1809.

I have another Windows 10 computer with X1 Search 8.6.2 (64 bit) on it. That computer has the 1903 update installed on it -- and I froze the updates on that computer, too.

I really like X1 products. I've tried other search products and as good as some of them are none are as good as X1. I'm a cancer survivor in part due to my ability to scan all my medical documents, download records from health portals, and then use X1 to look deeper into my data enabling me to become an informed patient. It has helped me immensely.

Forrester -- try the usual things: uninstall X1, restart computer, re-install x1, and if that doesn't work then keep searching for other solutions.

I hope you get it working.
