Indexing lotus nsf files without domino connection

Postby fadynaime » Wed May 09, 2012 5:11 pm

I've backed up all my emails into nsf files. not sure why I have multiple files but I do. I've disabled any encryption in those files. I copied and moved these NSF files and I no longer have access to the domino servers. can X1 index these files and display them, what other files do i need other than the nsf files themselves.

Hello,

In order to index and search Lotus Notes files, you still need a Lotus Notes client installed on the machine. The NSF files don't need to be actually opened in Lotus Notes for this to all work. Once you have the Lotus Notes client and X1 installed, go to the X1 Options > Email > Lotus Notes > "Select Databases and Folders To Scan...". In the dialog window that pops up, you can add your NSF files one by one.

Hi,

What is the minimal installation of LN that will make X1 happy?
So all is needed is to have LN installed to that X1 will "know" it is there?
Would it be needed in order to selected the folders to index? Or is this being done by looking in the nsf files themselves?
