How do I back up the X1 archive?

Something happened to Outlook where my main PST file has been lost after a reboot. I have searched the entire computer, checked backups (which unfortunately, only go back for a couple of days) and tried using file recovery software to find the missing PST, but it appears to be gone.

However, X1 still has cached copies of my email. I want to preserve this data. How can I back this up?

I think your best bet would be to try to recover the PST. X1 doesn't come with an email recovery option that I know of.

I have never come across the complete disappearance of an Outlook PST, certainly not after a reboot. (You will find good advice on recovering Outlook over at Slipstick Systems.) Don't forget, Windows likes to hide some files and directories (folders). So you have to search for "hidden" files.

What happens when you start Outlook? Or haven't you done that yet?

Like I said, your best move really would be to recover the email data. I'd get over to Slipstick. There is also an email list on Yahoo!, Outlook Users. Low traffic but very helpful.
