X1 Search - 8.4.1 - slowing down outlook significantly.

I want to really like this product. I have paid for it.

It starts automatically when the machine comes up. I usually kill the X1 related processes (5 of them) using taskmanager. I let X1 run for couple of hours every week so that it can reindex.

I am assuming that the X1 is fully shutdown when I kill processes but I don't think it does.

My outlook is extremely slow even when the processes are down

How can I fix this?

As a last resort, I will have to uninstall X1

This is not good practice. It just creates an unstable system.

X1 should not slow down Outlook. If it is slow when nothing X1 is running, perhaps the problems is Outlook.

We don't know anything about your system beyond the version of X1, so it is anybody's guess as to what might be happening.

Which version of Windows? Outlook? How powerful is the PC? POP? IMAP? Exchange? How many PST files? How big are they?

Issue was fixed by disabling out look X1 Search add-in.

Thanks for reporting that.

Personally I have never understood the reason for that add-in.

I am sure the addin is indexing the emails on the fly based on your actions. Every click on outlook now runs something related to X1 slowing down send and deletion of outlook messages.

Which is why disabling the addin does not slow down outlook on every click

Anyone from X1 Search looks into these postings?

Should I assume that X1 Search doesn't want to answer "yes" to my question above?

I am a paid customer.

I have X1 8.4.1 and was wondering if there is a way to search metadata in Word 2010 documents ...

The last thing I had to take is to reinstall Windows from 8 to 10 and transfer thunderbird to outlook https://www.outlooktransfer.com/how-to-transfer-thunderbird-emails-to-outlook/ but I've complete installation normally and it takes

less effort and does not require any additional components or libraries to be downloaded, but now my Outlook is really slow despite my attempts to fix it ...
