Problem searching for .mov files

When I enter .mov as document type, I get >1600 files with the .dat extension. The full type shows as "Video CD Movie,.dat"
How do I find the .mov files?

X1 picks up all sorts of information in the document type slot.
By using the sort of trick the pgk suggests, you can refine away to your heart's content. I find this a useful feature.
Then again, I also mess around with my file types to remove all the advertising. So Word files are just that not "Microsoft Word" files.
