X1 and command-line

Postby mtrozzo » Wed Dec 17, 2008 10:03 am

We're working on some scripting to handle some Lotus Notes-related issues, and one of the things we'd like to do is to kill any X1 processes that are running, restart them, and restart indexing.

I navigated into the X1 folder using the command line and tried to see if there were any flags that could be used by running x1.exe /? or x1.exe /help. However there was nothing to be found.

Is there any command-line capability available in x1, and are there any sw?

I could not find any X1 command line options to force it to exit, so I wrote this AutoIt script.

Code: Select all
Local $wTitle = "X1 -"
Local $wHnd = WinWait( $wTitle, "", 1)
If NOT $wHnd Then Exit( 0 )

WinSetState( $wHnd, "", @SW_SHOW )
WinSetState( $wHnd, "", @SW_RESTORE )
WinSetState( $wHnd, "", @SW_ENABLE )

WinActivate( $wHnd )
If NOT WinWaitActive( $wHnd, "", 5 ) Then Exit( 1 )

Send( "!f" )
Send( "x" )

Exit( 0 )

See the AutoIt web page (http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/index.shtml) for the AutoIt runtime download, and how to make a "compiled" EXE from this script.
