Delete any Private Messages from Profilicus

Postby Tod » Tue May 12, 2009 5:02 pm

It appears that a user by the name of Profilicus has been sending Private Messages to users posing as a site admin trying to get them to go to the megl.ru website.

This username is not affiliated with X1 and is not an admin. Further, this username has been hitting many other websites, so please keep an eye out for any private messages from this username from any messaging system.

You can Google Profilicus if you want more information on this.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I can confirm that I have seen the same behaviour on other sites. Not just X1.

No, I have nothing to do with X1, just a user since 2004.

Because of the recent increase in users sending spam via private messages, I've disabled the ability for ALL forum users to send private messages.

Please let me know your thought on whether this should be permanent or not.

Thanks!
