X1 staff posts not showing in RSS Feed.

Postby tjh » Mon Mar 01, 2010 1:43 pm

Hello,

Anyone else using the RSS feed to monitor the forums seeing the same issue? I've just realised I don't see Greg Dawes or Tod's posts in my RSS feed. Everyone else, not a problem.

Am I going insane?

Tim,

There is no "staff stealth mode" that I know of. What tools specifically are you using? If I add the RSS feed to X1 or if I view it natively in IE8, I can see my posts from today.

I'm using Google Reader and it doesn't show either your reply to my post, nor does it show Greg's post this morning about Transparent X1 issues.

You're right though, examining the output from rss.php (just pulling it using wget, so there's no way it's logged in) shows you both your posts. So Google Reader must have some sort of issue.

Or, as mentioned, I am actually going insane.

Tim,

I see a similar problem with Google Reader - it doesn't seem to pick up every conversation, but I could see Greg's response on the transparency issue when I checked it just now, although I couldn't see anything other than your first post in this thread. We aren't doing anything special that I know about in our RSS feed, so it would be interesting to know if this problem only occurs with Google Reader or if other RSS Feed technologies have similar problems.
