Postby ilse20 » Thu Mar 25, 2010 6:00 am

hello,

i am using x1 email search and i want to know if it is posible to start indexing when x1 starts up.
now x1 starts up but it doesn't start indexing immediatly. i looked at the options and i coudn't find an options to start indexing at startup.
the only options is could submit where to chose when to index when x1 is running. like every .... minutes of every day at....

is it possible to start index when x1 is starting up?

What settings do you have for the core "Indexing" options?

Set it to never delay indexing and you should have the most "aggressive" strategy.

Also set the Outlook indexing to the shortest delays.

There isn't an index at startup, but if you set X1 to start with Windows, never delay indexing and index in real time you should have a "live" index.

No, I have nothing to do with X1, just a user since 2004.

yes, i already did that, but the projectmanager wants that x1 starts indexing when it is started up.

is it possible to do this another way?

If it is set up like that, X1 will start indexing when you start it.

Just because there isn't a button saying "Index at startup" does not mean that it isn't doing it.
