Keyboard Shortcut error

Postby Ian_H » Mon Aug 23, 2010 11:19 pm

Hi All,

Hopefully this is an easy one to fix.

I've just bought and installed 6.7.1. on Win 64.
Initially I did an upgrade from the last free version, and all seemed good except I was getting an error when trying to use the keyboard shortcut CTRL-ALT L.
Whenever I select this shortcut I get a popup error saying ...

"This action is only valid for products that are currently installed"

So I thought .. a complete clean install might fix this.

I un-installed using the instruction in the knowledgbase to clean my system of X1 then did a new install of 6.7.1. .... same thing.

EDIT: So I noticed that after the clean install, there is no shortcut listed in the X1 options for launching X1 from the desktop...
I'm guessing an old program has not cleaned up after being removed and has itself hooked into the CTR-ALT L keyboard shortcut ...

Any help appreciated.

For keyboard shortcuts to work, you have to tell it to "Show X1 icon in system tray".

>>Basic Options

Then check the keyboard shortcuts.

No, I have nothing to do with X1, just a user since 2004.
