Simple Question - Exclusive Search

Postby peterjung » Thu Aug 28, 2014 6:58 pm

Can someone advise how I can search for two or more specific words exclusively?

i.e. I want to find ONLY emails that contain BOTH the words "dog" and "cat".

I thought that the following search string should be correct:

"dog" AND "cat"

However this returns result that contain emails that have EITHER dog or cat.

Can someone advise where I am going wrong please?

It works as expected here.

Check the number of hits on each word, then with the the combined term. They are very different here.

But don't forget that "dog" is not the same as "dog=". The former delivers dogma, among many other dog... words.
