Cannot connect to server for updates

Is anyone else getting the error "Unable to make a connection to X1 Search servers to check for updates"? My internet connection is working fine.

I am on 8.6.2 6009bl

Hello,
I have exactly the same problem.
Am also on V8.6.2 6009bl
If I remember well I received that error already last week :(
Seems V8.6.3 exists (see https://www.x1.com/support/ at the bottom of the page) since Aug. 6th but no release note in the forums ...
I didn't install it because I don't know the contents.

I have exactly the same problem.
If I remember well it was already the case last week.
I have version V8.6.2 6009bl
There is a new version V8.6.3 released on Aug 6th (see https://www.x1.com/support/ at bottom of page)
No Release notes available here in the forum :(
So I didn't install it.

RESOLVED?
I had the same problem, but then noticed that version 8.6.3 was released in August. After installing, clicking on 'check for update' appeared to work as expected.

How were you able to update? The update hangs when I try to install it - assuming I was even able to download the correct version (8.6.3) from the support portal. I can't update through the program because of the error connecting to server.

I updated by downloading via the support portal dashboard.

I then exited my instance of X1 & launched the downloaded file. Update progressed as expected.
