Edit folders blacklist

Postby Kenward » Tue Oct 25, 2016 1:45 pm

If I Edit folders blacklist can I filter on part of a filename?

I have various files with names like *_chg.htm and *_old.htm.

They are housekeeping files that I don't want X1 to find and show. I can filter searches but it would be more convenient if I could blacklist those files. Will those filters work?

How about allowing "regular expressions" for things like that?

The Help file misses this feature completely and the program's own advice is not clear on this front.

It does say that I can use a wildcard '*' to include folders, but not files.

I'm not sure if this is a beta thing, maybe it has always been there, but as I am on 8.5 Beta I pose the question here.

PS If there is a company moderator here, please can someone clear out the 1200 and growing spam messages that are stacked up in the forum's pending folders? Other users can't see them, but they are a nuisance and may still show up in search engines.

No, I have nothing to do with X1, just a user since 2004.
