Duplicate Dropbox entries

Dropbox has introduced the ability to have both a business and a personal Dropbox on your machine. It differentiates them by naming them "Dropbox (work)" and "Dropbox (Personal)". But in order to allow users' links to remain unbroken, there must be a symlink for "Dropbox" to the "Dropbox (work)" folder. Why is this important? Because now my X1 index has two entries for every file in my "Dropbox (work)" folder. i don't know how to prevent X1 from creating these duplicate index entries.

Any help?

Hello,

you can edit the options for the Files data source, locate the symlink folder and then exclude it from indexing.

Jogy,

It is a hidden junction folder in my user name. When I try to edit the indexer, the hidden folder does not show up to be unchecked. Thoughts as to how I can fix that? See screenshots from Windows Explorer and X1's indexing settings:

Hi,

have you tried to make the Dropbox folder visible, then open the Files configuration and deselect it from indexing, and then perhaps make it back hidden?
