Index incomplete and won't open

Hi, I have a number of problems and may need to start over. My situation is complicated by the fact that I work from 3 different computers in 3 different locations. However, I use the same profile names on all computers.

Lately on one of the computers that I have had the most trouble with, i.e. the biggest being I cannot open indexed emails, I can no longer open emails in the index. I also get an occasional message that it's not a valid profile. It also will not load the preview. I've tried a couple of things, but I am afraid I am going to make the problems worse.

How can I start over from scratch? I am even willing to do this on all of the computers so everything is for sure identical. It is SO FRUSTRATING! This started about mid-March.
