Any way to shut off certain plugins?

Postby NHSGary » Tue Jul 15, 2014 7:01 am

I do not use Outlook nor do I use Sharepoint. Is there a way to "shut off" the X1 plugins to make the program use less resources?

NHS Gary - if you're asking in relation to X1 Search 8 you can disable the X1 Outlook plugin by disabling the real-time indexing function.

Click the X1 Search menu button in the upper left. Click Data Sources. Click the Pencil edit icon in line with the Outlook Email Data Source. Disable the RTI checkbox and click Apply. Click OK to acknowledge the need to restart Outlook. Click OK to return to the Data Sources and click Done. Use the Menu button again to Exit X1.

In Outlook use File > Exit to close Outlook.

Wait a minute or two or maybe even reboot your system. Restart Outlook then restart X1.

X1 does not install a Sharepoint plugin so there should nothing to disable in that regard.
Sincerely,
