Outlook indexing fails

Postby mberndtgen » Mon Jun 06, 2016 2:59 am

Hello, I'm the new one and I'm already bringing trouble. :oops:

The facts:
X1 Search 8.4.1, build 5003pj (64-bit)
Outlook plugin 8.4.1.7430
MS Outlook 2013 (15.0.4815.1000), 32-bit

The problem:
After my index of files and e-mails hit a mark of 800.000 objects (that index was already built with older versions of X1), I wanted to start from scratch and deleted the whole index. While file indexing works without problems, X1 doesn't want to index my e-mails. I'm observing following errors in MAPI-UI.log

Code: Select all
[log] 06.06.2016 10:27:11,686 [group-Scanner] INFO   [(3638) X1Domain.cpp (107)] [log] - CX1Domain::MapiConnect - Initialized X1 Mapi engine.

Similar error messages can be seen in MAPI-Service.log:

Code: Select all
[log] 02.06.2016 12:01:42,918 [group-Scanner] INFO   [(3598) X1Domain.cpp (107)] [log] - CX1Domain::MapiConnect - Initialized X1 Mapi engine.

There are no errors or warnings in OutlookRTIAddin.log, X1MAPIEngine.log, X1OutlookService32*.log. When I try to manually start indexing X1 seems to try, but fails in adding objects to the index: it stays empty.

Is there a method to tune the log's output in order to get more messages or details?

Hello X1 Support,

I am having serious issues with X1 Search 8.4 5003pj 64 bit. I had reached out to your support , they had asked me to reinstall X1 , I did it started working and again they indexing process has stopped. When ever I start the indexing process in X1 Search , initially it says starting and they all of sudden the status disappears . I just cannot resintall the whole process, I have 5 psts and the process takes a lot of time , the earlier versions were much lighter - some how.

Could you please suggest a workaround on this bug , also it does not allow me to change the schedule , every time change it , it changes it back to 30 minutes.

regards
