One bug has survived the recent update.

The one that means that X1 refuses to start with Windows.

It complains that it cannot connect to something or other.

Hello,

can you try to create a file named flags.xml in the data folder with the following content:

Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LoggingConfig xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
  <ConnectToServiceMaxRetries>3000</ConnectToServiceMaxRetries>
</LoggingConfig>

and then see if on next Windows restart the X1 would run successfully?

Anyone who wants to edit xml files might like to investigate a really neat utility from Microsoft.

Don't be fooled by the name, XML Notepad 2007. It may be old but it works just fine.

You can find it here:

Download XML Notepad 2007 from Official Microsoft Download Center

There are other free xml editors out there, but they seem to be designed for programmers rather than people who want to do a quick and dirty tweak of an xml file.
