I have two issues which may be related.
1. Some time after launching X1, the X1ServiceHost.exe utility will often start consuming >90% of available CPU cycles (Dell Latitude E6450 I7--4 core), 16GB -- maybe about 2-3 hours after starting X1. So I have to keep Windows Task Manager open whenever I run X1 to kill the X1ServiceHost.exe service host process since it seriously degrades my ability to get any other work done.
2. X1 will sometimes crash (without me knowing) and leave >160 GB of temporary files on my SSD drive (1TB). That consumes all of the available space on the SSD which causes other programs to start crashing ("unable to write to disk"). That's my usual indication that X1 has crashed without deleting temporary files. I then have to go into Users>>ME>>AppData>>Local>>Temp folder to delete the X1 folder that is taking all the space. Once I delete that X1 folder, my laptop returns to normal. The X1 GUI will normally still be available asking if I want to Restart or Exit X1. I normally exit X1 at that point.
Please send guidance on how to fix these two issues.
BTW I am running X1 v8.4 build 5003ow (64 bio).
Thanks,
Tom D.
