X1 Search 8.4.1 build 5003pj (64-bit) Outlook 2010 (32)

Postby mmifs » Wed Dec 09, 2015 12:18 pm

Cannot act on e-mails via X1 search interface, I am only managing to print e-mails. In the case of files I have full functionality.

X1 Error
Unexpected error occurred while emailing.
Unable to cast COM object of type 'Microsoft.Office.lnterop.Outlook.ApplicationClass' to interface type
'Microsoft.Office.lnterop.Outlook._Application'. This operation failed because the Querylnterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{00063001-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}' failed due to the following error: Interface not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040155).

Help please.

same problem here !

I do have X1 version 8.4.1 build 5003pj (plugins 7430) installed over Windows 7 Pro and Outlook 2010 (v14.0.7162.5000)

X1 works well when indexing and searching emails, but I cannot Open, Reply, etc ...

Instead, I can act on Files, Documents, and other categories.

Help please ...

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out. There are two potential workarounds, and which you use will depend on some additional information. CAn you please download and run the below diagnostic tool and send the results to customercare@x1.com?

1. Download: http://support.x1.com/cs/x1s_diagnostic_tool.exe

2. Double-click the downloaded "x1s_diagnostic_tool.exe" file to run
(Win7/Win8 users with UAC turned on should right-click the file and select
Run as administrator)

3. A Windows Explorer window will open when the tool has finished (this may
take a minute).

4. Inside the x1supportfiles directory, send the ZIP file

Upon receiving the logs we will reach out with the appropriate steps. Ultimately we hope to post resolutions here.

Best,

Mike

Dear All,
thanks for all messages and suggestions.
Unfortunately, I cannot install the log tool on my professional laptop ... X1 is allowed because under paid licence, but I cannot install and run other tools ...
So, it would be great if you point me to the 32 bit version to download and install ...
I would really appreciate if the pointer comes directly from the X1 Team, so I will send this message privately also to the X1 Customer Care.
Many thanks,
mlena

Dear All,

even after having UNistalled the 64 bit version, and INstalled the 32 bit version, unfortunately the problem is NOT solved for me.

I continue to have the same X1 behaviour.

I did UNinstall the 64 bit version by keeping index files and licence info ...
was it necessary to install the 32 bit really from scracth by erasing also all data ?

Thanks,
mlena

Dear All,
thanks.

After installing the 32 bit version, and after following the instructions at Fieldstonsoftware,

now my X1 and Outlook 2010 seem work well together.

Best regards,
mlena
