Windows taskbar does not appear on mouse

Postby danhotchkiss » Thu Dec 24, 2015 9:25 am

This is not a new issue, but I believe I have never mentioned it before, and do not see it in the forums.

I like to keep my Windows taskbar at the left edge, in autohide mode. When I mouse to the left edge, the taskbar does not appear if X1 is maximized in the foreground. This problem is unique to X1, so far as I can see. The taskbar works properly when X1 is not maximized.

This has been the way of X1 as long as I can remember, and I've been an X1 user for a long time!

Thanks,

I have my Taskbar at the top of the screen. (Another ornery arrangement.) I do not see this phenomenon.

I have just tried your arrangement. There too, I see no problems.

I haven't tried the other three sides of the screen.

One proviso, I have dual monitors.

No, I have nothing to do with X1, just a user since 2004.

I normally use three monitors (laptop + 2). When X1 is maximized on either of the monitors that does not have the taskbar, the taskbar works normally. When I disconnect the external monitors and maximize X1 on the laptop, the taskbar will not open when I push the mouse to the left edge of the screen. I can't prove it, but I believe I've experienced this problem consistently for years on more than two computers.
