Mail Subject Header

Postby mlarky » Fri Nov 14, 2014 3:02 am

Could the following enhancements be considered & added?

When the preview screen is at the bottom, the email subject header in the preview pane takes up nearly a quarter of my screen with repeated ino. Could this be collapsible or hide-able?

Dragging and dropping of attachments is still a problem.

A feature to Update a Saved search would be helpful.

The "flag text" field does not seem to show the flag text for emails. Could this be fixed?

Thank you!

I don't see that. Just four lines of header:

Subject:
From
Sent:
To:

Maybe it is picking up stuff, or a setting, from somewhere else?

Ctrl+S does it. But it is a well-hidden feature. I had to ask too.

That might also benefit from a bit of work on the current way of showing things. If you use the Save button on an existing saved search, it offers you a new name. Some software presents a dropdown of existing saved data so that you can choose a new name, or an existing one. That would help people to overwrite saved searches that they no longer want, or simply want to tweak.

Which "flag" is this? Follow Up? That would certainly be nice.

Hi
How do I attach a screen shot to show the Mail Subject Header problem?

It is the Outlook Reminder flag Text that doesnt show.

Host it on one of the many on-line pictures palaces and link to it on the forum. Or on your own ftp space/website if you have one.

The space take by the header is probably a bit less than a quarter by the time you leave the buttons and the attachement bar. It would be useful if it was hideable/collapasable.

Ctrl + S doesnt seem to work for me in v8.3.

Thanks

Are you sure? It works here, but it is hard to tell that it has saved the search.

Ctrl + S definitely doesn't seem to work on 8.3.

I modify a search. Press Ctrl+S to update the saved search. To test that its updated, I changed the search again and the pressed Clear button. It should then revert back to the Updated version of the search. However it reverts to the original search.

Strange. I did just that yesterday in my installation of 8.3.

Tweaked a saved search. Ctrl+S.

Went to different search.

Returned to updated search, Clear All, and it still showed the changes I had made.

Remember, this probably won't work with the searches that are "hardwired" into X1. It will only work in a search that you have created yourself.

I see what you mean.

Bug or feature?
