Given that the Outlook software is available only to a select band, you are unlikely to get an answer here. A better place to look would be in a forum where Outlook testers huddle for warmth.
If you have access to Outlook 2010, then why not try it and report back?
Unless Microsoft has completely reworked the standards for .pst files, the new version of Outlook is unlikely to break X1. As that move would create havoc in many companies, the chances of a revolutionary upheaval are slim.
