2 independent indexes

I would like to have the ability to have 2 sets of data indexes and to make a search query independently on either of the 2 indexes.

Think of this in terms of "private "and "work" data. In the middle of a company meeting, I don't want private data to pop up in the search results, I would like to stick to the "work" search index in this case for example.

A way to achieve this is to have 2 separate Windows user accounts, but I cannot do this because of the corporate environment - only 1 Windows user account allowed.

Have you tried simply moving your index location using the index preferences?

Moving the index location does not help, since there is only 1 index. I need 2 different sets of indexes.

You need to set up two "Users" in Windows.

You can then switch between them.

Another way to achieve this is to organise your files in such a way that you can create saved searches that exclude "private" data and vice versa. For example, you can create folders and paths with appropriate names.
