1. I am a tad frustrated. I purchased a new copy of x1 in June 2011 so that I could get support. When I try to report a bug, I am told that I have to purchase a new product. I thought I got 1 year of support with the purchase of the product. Did I miss something?
2. I reported this bug at the beginning of the month and was told that this is an old bug and to search for "closes". I have done that. I found the post associated with the folowing topic:
viewtopic.php?f=48&t=4402#p15956, "6.7.1.4054 Crash on Start"
That has some good stuff. I used the uninstall tool. I ran it as administrator and removed X1.
I then reinstalled. Using the x1_pro_client_dotNet_4054dh.exe file. No luck. I still get he same problem. X1 runs for a while and then shut downs. The task manager shows that x1 is running for a while, and then x1 dies (vanishes from task manager).
3. The crash of X1 appears to be an access violation by the x1lib.dll

I have X1 running on a couple of other machines without any problems.
I then tried running the index repair tool. The X1 started and worked for an hour and has since stopped working again. Why would the repair tool fix a problem after I had cleaned X1 off the machine using the uninstall tool? Doesn't the uninstall tool remove the index files?
Why does X1 keep crashing?
What can be done?
Thank you
john
