Not all email being indexed

Hi,

With v5.0, messages *I know* are in Outlook are not returning when I search for them.

I have the system indexed nightly, and "options" tells me that the system was indexed over night and the messages in questions are a few weeks old, so it's not a matter of searching for them before an index was done.

(I've just switched so that indexing is every so-many minutes.)

Nevertheless, I never had this problem with 4.x

Happens to me all the time and here is how I fix it.

(1) Run SCANPST.EXE on ALL pst files that are open in your Outlook (I have several that I sort my mail into)

(2) Let SCANPST.EXE fix any problems it finds in any of your PST files.

(3) Delete the X1 index for your email.

(4) Launch indexing manually and let the index rebuild.

This always works for me. It seems that when there is an error in one of the PST files, X1 corrupts its index.
