X1 can no longer index Outlook 2013 PST files

Windows 10 (64 bit) / Office 2013 (32 bit) / X1 8.6.2 6009bl (64 bit)

X1 has been working fine for me for years, but a couple of days ago I noticed that my email stopped indexing. It starts up but then at a certain point (ranging from 0.1 to around 25%) it freezes and finally says "cancelled".

What I've tried so far:

    Updated X1 to latest available release
    Deleted the index and tried to recreate
    Ran ScanPST.exe against all my PST files ("only minor inconsistencies")
    Removed all PST files from the search options and added back in one only (with 1271 items)
None of these things have fixed the issue - still can't complete an Outlook index. File indexing seems unaffected.

Suggestions?

Are there any errors in the X1 logs that may help to find what is the problem?

Based on another thread, I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook 2013 and X1. After reinstalling, X1 seems to be working fine again.
