Multi-cpu support

Postby ne0031 » Wed Dec 26, 2018 10:53 am

We've had x86 multi-core cpus for more than a decade, and multi-processor support for more than 2 decades - when will X1 support multiple index threads?

It boggles my mind that I watch a single core sit at 100%, while all the rest are idle. I don't expect the product to support an unlimited number of threads, but give us 4 at least (or 8 or 36!)

Not much changes here over the eons.
Still the best sftwr of it's kind (for the 20-th century) but David Carpenter's Everything (voidtools.com) is nipping at their heels.
Are they still in bznss or just coasting along the 20-th century thinking on the slow wave towards a graveyard?
