Paid Customer: Lost Features in "Free" Upgrade

Postby plaiche » Wed Dec 06, 2006 11:07 am

I bought X1 approximately 2 years ago and have been using it ever since. I just downloaded and installed the latest desktop client as it appeared to be a free upgrade. Now I can no longer specify my network drives here at home for indexing. That's where all of my .pst archives are and it renders X1 useless. What are my options as I am not interested in a paid upgrade.

Thanks,

Michael

Read the many messages that have appeared here on how to install X1 in such a way that it allows network shares.

You could start with the first post in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section.

How to enable network indexing in recent releases of X1

If you have XP Pro, there are other options. I leave you to find them for yourself as I don't have Pro. You shouldn't have far too look. Someone else posted their workaround earlier today.

No, I have nothing to do with X1, just a user since 2004.
