Not indexing Eudora

Postby choco » Sun Jun 17, 2007 11:36 am

I have installed X1 onto a new system (Build 3453) (Created: Tue Apr 3 18:08:43 PDT 2007)

I notice that it does not index my Eudora messages. Checking options, it does not see all the mailboxes that I have. It only shows in, out, trash, & junk.

How do I point it to the correct folder to index all my mailboxes. I did not have this problem with other installations.

Thanks,
Choco

Hi choco,

1. Did you check to see if you have told X1 Client to index for all Eudora email folders?

Tools>>Options>>Email>>Eudora
Then, check that all Eudora email folders are indexed there.

2. Starting with X1 Client v5.6.4 it no longer supports Eudora email.
So if above method won't work, suggest you revert to an older version of X1 Client, as per URL in FAQ Forum.

3. Please note that Eudora itself is changing its email format (actually changing it into a skinned version of Mozilla Thunderbird of some sort), so it is Eudora's side that is making the major changes...

The options only show In, Out, Junk, and Trash.

Why is Eudora no longer supported. If you check the Eudora list on Yahoo, you will many people still using it.

I just went back several versions with the same problem. Only trash, in, out, and Junk show up the options folder. I am 99% positive that I did not have this problem with the latest version in my older system which I only replace a month ago.

Can anyone from the developers help me. This is quite frustrating.
